Description: POSITION SUMMARY: Open Society Institute ? New York Office is looking for a mid to senior level web developer with strong experience in Content Management System (CMS), Plone platform, and working knowledge of web framework involving in, but not limited to, Python, PHP, XML, HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XSLT, MySQL, and Linux. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with strong software design, maintenance, and debugging skills, and with aptitude to develop new skills. This position will be required to work closely with consultants, end users, and other IT staff to provide hands-on support for current and future OSI in-house applications.
JOB RESPOSIBILITIES
1. Maintain and enhance OSI organized-wide Intranet and knowledge management system for online collaboration and communities.
2. Facilitate and analyze users? feedback and requirements, and be able to enhance further.
3. Support the installation, implementation, integration and use of pre-packaged software solutions.
4. Update system documentation and user guides as required.
5. Work closely with the IT team to promote informed and creative use of information systems by the Foundation staff.
6. Other duties as assigned.
