Hardware Design Engineer – Sunnyvale, CA
This is for a large digital television/video software company that is a market leader in their field. Become part of an exciting new media industry.

All of which are designed to maximize service offerings and generate greater returns on network investment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for the development of system hardware, digital over IP networking products
· Board level design and FPGA targeted HDL design
· Participation in all phases of hardware development including creation of design specifications, hardware and programmable logic implementation, through integration, design verification, certification and product release
REQUIREMENTS:
· BSEE/BSCS or equivalent.
· 6-10 years of applicable design experience.
· Microprocessor and DSP based design.
· PC Hardware architecture and embedded system design.
· Desktop design tools for schematic capture. HDL design, simulation and synthesis tools such as Verilog, VHDL, Synplicity and Modelsim
DESIRED:
· Demonstrated ability in development of complex high performance processor based, networking, data, communications and/or broadcast products
· Well-rounded engineering skills with focus on hardware and embedded systems development
· Team oriented, with a self-directed work style
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· MPEG, HD and DVB systems experience
· Video over IP, TCP/IP, and other networking knowledge
· PCI Bus and Advanced APC
