Developer
Develop/maintain software in python. Engage with other developers to communicate status roadblocks etc. Meet all agreed upon delivery targets on or ahead of schedule without impacting quality. Perform testing on software deliverables as assigned. Follow established version control and development practices. Candidate must be able to multi-task between 2-3 software deliverables and must be willing to work with tight deadlines.
Requirements:
5 years of software development and at least 2 years of python development. Advanced Python programming (experience with meta-programming, decorators, xml-rpc, distributed computing etc). Advanced knowledge of OOP and design patterns. Comfortable with working in Linux and Windows environments. Experience with Open Source software development practices. Familiarity with Agile / RAD. Preferred: SVN experience. BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
Focus areas:
SVN experience.
BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
Python-based distributed software development.
Familiarity with PySTAF or STAF/STAX.
Familiarity with Windmill.
