Position Title: SOLUTION ARCHITECT (RTI)
Location: VIRTUAL
Description: The incumbent will spend time working on customer solutions that lower costs, increase agility and enable business growth. Areas of focus include business strategy and IT capability alignment through effective use of 3D-VE methodology, processes and tools, enterprise visualization, business service management (BSM) techniques, business performance management (BPM) techniques, IT service management (ITIL) techniques, business continuity and disaster recovery, infrastructure optimization, open systems migrations and consolidations, and application modernization techniques. An RTI Architect will be responsible for business development, evangelism, and engagement capture and delivery. Responsible for the design and conceptual integrity of the underlying architecture elements of the proposed client solutions with a focus on integrating utility computing, information workflow blueprinting, information lifecycle management solutions, policy-based management techniques, and overall data management solution integration. Works closely with key technology and service vendors and RTI program architects to evaluate, develop, and integrate relevant RTI-enabling solutions within the RTI solutions portfolio. Supports Infrastructure Architecture services across all industries. Acts as an RTI solutions expert providing assessment, modeling and transformation expertise. Contributes to customers’ goals of creating a future-state infrastructure where IT assets are virtualized, self-managed and business driven producing greater enterprise agility and lower IT costs.
Responsibilities:
· Assist clients to establish IT governance enabling them to create and manage a provisioning model consistent with the RTI vision
· A thorough understanding of Infrastructure optimization and the ability to develop/document effective operational processes
· The role has a 25% chargeability and 50% pre-sales target, plus 10% practice development
· Works closely with PSE’s, CRE’s and industry focused Enterprise Architects to design creative and customer specific solutions
· Leads the design, development and communication of local sales and presentation collateral to support the IT Governance model. This will be conducted in consultation and coordination with RTI Corporate marketing efforts
· As a recognized subject matter expert in the Real Time Infrastructure domain, works with internal and external stakeholders to plan, develop, organize, monitor and deliver services and solutions to clients
· Designs and integrates large and complex enterprise-wide solutions for major clients, interfacing with their senior executives. Assumes a creative leadership role to implement the client’s business and/or technology strategy efficiently and effectively
· Demonstrates extensive knowledge of and ability to appropriately use the broad spectrum of Business Engineering and Business Architecture artifacts, including forthcoming industry standards, emerging Business Engineering trends and/or industry trends, and new enabling technologies
· Assumes a proactive and direct role to identify, develop and cultivate profitable business opportunities and establish engagements. Interfaces with internal and external resources to develop proposals and work estimates. Responsible and accountable for the correctness, viability, and estimates for the solution and business architectural environment in client engagements
· Develops and/or provides final review and approval of artifacts that define the business architecture of the solution. Applies a consistent set of business architectural guidelines in the creation of new solution architecture. Uses industry standard graphical modeling languages to develop business architectural designs
· Contributes domain thought leadership both internally and externally maintaining an awareness of and utilizes state-of-the-art best practices. Networks with peers from external companies and authors business and/or technology related papers and articles to present at major industry conferences
· Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with all business units. Uses these relationships to the best advantage in client engagements
Qualifications:
1. Masters degree or PhD or equivalent experience (Experience in enterprise architecture, business and technical consulting, and senior level exposure)
2. Experience with infrastructure asset discovery, operational process optimization, and business process modeling engagements, and tooling such as IT Modeler, Model-Based Transformation, and JRM
3. Experience with industry standards and frameworks applicable to infrastructure architecture
4. Experience defining the infrastructure architecture for medium or large projects
5. Experience as the lead architectural reviewer of designs with experience in mission critical, high-volume IT environments
6. Experience managing teams of practitioners including architects, technologists and consultants, on infrastructure engagements
7. A background in Data Centre operation and/or architecture design
8. Experience in two or more of the following infrastructure disciplines: Platform and Storage Infrastructure and operating environment; Network infrastructure; Security infrastructure and operating environment / application security; Application infrastructure, including integration services; Common services infrastructure, including file, print, messaging and collaboration services; Virtualization and policy-management of resource allocation; IT Operations infrastructure and IT Processes modeling; IT Governance, measurement and controls

6. Strong working knowledge of information lifecycle management concepts and data and security workflow
7. Experience making presentations
