Job Description Company: FORTUNE 500 IT CONSULTING COMPANY Position Title: CHIEF ARCHITECT (RTI) Location: VIRTUAL Reports To: VP OF RTI STRATEGIC PROGRAM Responsibilities: Business Development Responsibilities: · Actively supports/participates in engagements that result in profitable revenue growth · Identifies strategies and solutions that result in new opportunities for follow-on business that bring additional value to the client · Works with the business units and key partners to develop RTI solutions and services that meet market needs · Provides thought leadership on service delivery processes and RTI architectural designs, integrates 3D-Visible Enterprise and 3D-Blueprints within the RTI solutions and services portfolio · Leverages current industry, business unit, partner knowledge and/or enterprise transformation knowledge to develop ongoing RTI strategies and solutions · Recognized within the company and/or external organizations as a notable expert in one or more specific RTI domains, and is knowledgeable in all other domains listed below, and uses this knowledge to generate profitable revenue growth for the company: o Business requirements analysis o Enterprise Architecture Frameworks and Governance (e.g. Zachman, TOGAF, CoBiT, ITIL, etc.) o Business Vision, Strategy, Tactics and Business Intelligence (including Data Warehousing) o Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing o Human Capital Planning and Organizational Change Management · Develops and/or provides final review/approval of artifacts that define the business architecture of the solution · Finds, qualifies, and develops new RTI opportunities and works to ensure that a steady stream of follow-on solutions and services are made available to the field Service Delivery Responsibilities: · Regular contributor to the companies’ Knowledge Management initiative · Demonstrates the ability to apply a consistent set of business architectural guidelines in the creation of a new solution architecture · Uses industry standard graphical modeling languages to develop business architectural designs · Knowledgeable in the use of market-leading business architecture toolsets such as modeling tools, business rules engines, simulation tools, and so on · Utilizes and modifies existing 3D-Blueprints to create a customized client solution or a new major solution component · Demonstrates extensive knowledge of the broad spectrum of industry standards and Business Architecture artifacts, including industry and client trends and new enabling technologies, and uses this information to formulate and implement long-term strategy and tactical solutions for clients, and generate profitable revenue growth for the company · Interfaces with the client's highest business and technical executives (e.g., CFO, COO, CIO, and Chief Technology Officer) on business engineering and 3D-VE issues · Designs and integrates the most complex, leading edge, and business critical solutions for major, enterprise-wide companies · Reviews at highest-level project artifacts, solution designs, estimates and sizing · Reviews submitted articles (both internal and external) from members of practice team · Serves as the RTI architecture mentor for major organizations and junior architects/business analysis (consultants) across the company · Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with the companies’ third party companies and with other business units. Uses these relationships to the best advantage of the companies’ in client engagements · Presents RTI and industry trend-based papers to major conferences and publishes papers in professional journals and publications · Promotes the company and one's own capabilities by networking with peers in other companies and actively supporting professional organizations and user groups · Responsible and accountable for the successful delivery of the RTI architectural and associated portfolio deliverables People Management Responsibilities: · Assigns and reviews tasks, provides appropriate mentoring, manages performance feedback, training and professional development opportunities to help individuals reach their full potential · Manages the performance of internal and external service providers and/or sub-contractors in order to ensure the awareness of requirements, adherence to project quality, timely implementation of deliverables and resultant client satisfaction Qualifications: 1. Experience in enterprise and/or infrastructure architecture design 2. Master's degree, Ph.D or equivalent field experience 3. Strong working knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as Zachman and TOGAF 4. Broad understanding of technical and business architectural concepts such as business process modeling, business activity monitoring, executive dashboards 5. Working knowledge of Business and IT Service Management (BSM/ITSM) 6. ITIL Foundation certified 7. Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), J2EE/.NET and other services-based programming disciplines 8. Strong working knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as virtualization at all levels, storage, DR/BC, network and physical infrastructure architectures 9. Experience in consultative selling that resulted in profitable revenue growth 10. Experience in the engagement orchestration and delivery 11. Ability to interface with clients at all levels of their business (Business operations, financial, technology, and management) 12. Exposure to clients across a variety of industries and domains with deep expertise in more than one industry 13. Lead the design and implementation (execution) of client solutions across an entire enterprise or a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) 14. In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture, business architecture, and/or 3D-VE, 3D-Bluprinting and 3E-Blueprints 15. Conducted thought-leadership briefing to a variety of clients, presented at external meeting such as conferences or user groups, published articles or presented to Industry Analysts 16.
