This is a 2 month contract in Portland, Oregon
Summary: Content Management Systems Development
Our client, a tourism company, is looking for a consultant to develop and implement a new CMS. This estimated 2 month project will include base functionality and Social Media features functionality. There is an optional calendar component which may also be developed and implemented. Our client's current CMS is Plone on a Zope platform, the client is open to another Plone, Drupal, or a strongly supported recommended CMS. Specifically, not user-interfacing design or information architecture work.
Required Functionality: Social Media features
· All content should be able to optionally include – on a page by page or section by section basis – end-user commentary.
· All content should have appropriate Social sharing options (i.e. Digg This, Facebook this, etc).
Optional Functionality
· Calendar of Events: Our client maintains a very large calendar of events that is one of the primary / most viewed pieces of our site. Respondent should address Event Calendar functionality but estimate this as a separate line item and is also investigating 3rd party solutions here.
